Susanne Woodman, our Eye on Tenders, is still scanning the skies for opportunities. Here are two important ones:
- NHS North of England (NOE): The Commercial Procurement Collaborative (CPC) is seeking to appoint providers to a framework agreement for the provision of a range of healthcare consultancy services for use by the NHS and other eligible bodies. The new framework starts 1 March, extending for four years with a value of £10m. The agreement has six Lots with different requirements and awards will be to six providers per Lot. Documents can be requested until 19 January 2018. Tender information is located at the CPC page–detailed information can be seen by clicking on the ‘View New Contract Notice’ button.
- Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE)-NHS Market Ready: HIE leads the Northern Innovation Hub (NIH). The relevant part for healthcare technology is NHS Market Ready, to benefit small and emerging businesses and social enterprises which want to present, test and trial products and services and secure commercial opportunities with the NHS. This is a PIN so applicants can obtain descriptive documents and demonstrate interest at Public Contracts Scotland–click on the tabs. Susanne Woodman, our Reader who keeps an eye on telecare procurement tenders, has alerted our UK readers to two current postings:
Telecare IT Platform for East Lothian Council (Scotland). This is for the purchase an integrated call handling facility and telecare asset management system to respond to alerts from telecare equipment in the homes of vulnerable people. Contract duration 60 months. Deadline 1 March. (Public Contracts Scotland)
NHS Wales Informatics Service–Velindre NHS Trust. The NHS in Cardiff, Wales is looking to appoint partners to develop solutions to engage citizens digitally in the proactive management of their health. It is anticipated that this could encompass a wide range of services from existing applications (Apps) to innovative joint developments. Contract notice will be published 4 April, but the notice as published does not have a deadline. (Tenders Electronic Daily) See the Sell2Wales website for documentation.
NHS National Services Scotland (a/k/a The Common Services Agency) is requesting tenders for virtual video clinics. The supplier would furnish software, hosting and support for one year in up to 50 clinics in all of Scotland or in six regions. This ‘video consulting system’ would link NSS, Health Boards and potentially other Scottish public sector Participating Authorities. The tender is due noon UK time on Monday 26 August. Further information may be found here and also at the Public Contracts Scotland website. Hat tip to Suzanne Woodman of BRE.
