First funding kickoff for 2013

The first business day of the New Year started off positively for telehealth, with the announcement of the $5 million Series A financing of Independa, developer of the Angela social engagement system for older adults and the Artemis telehealth system. Investors are healthcare investment firm City Hill Ventures, a previous investor, and strategic partner LG Electronics USA, with participation by additional investors.
