Charles has a background in digital health, working in both public and private sectors.
His recent work has centred on the regulation and assessment of mHealth apps. He is Managing Director of the Digital Health & Care Alliance (DHACA); an expert reviewer for the European Commission, a special adviser to both the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC); organiser of the London Health Technology Forum, and past president of the Royal Society of Medicine’s Telemedicine & eHealth Section.
Charles consults for Humetrix Inc on app-related matters and assists Our Mobile Health Ltd with app assessment. He also chairs Citizens Online, the digital inclusion charity.
