Saneth Wijayaratna

We have to report the sad news that Saneth Wijayaratna died recently after a very short illness

Many readers will have encountered Saneth particularly in his roles leading TeleMedCare’s UK sales, as CEO of United Health in the UK and latterly as CEO, then Chief Scientific Officer, of InHealthcare. No-one can have failed to be struck by his dedication to improving the health & care of patients at home, or of his excellent understanding of the way his products worked. He will be greatly missed.

We are still awaiting news of his funeral arrangements which we will post here as soon as received.

Goodness this is such a shock. My heart goes out to his wife and young family. Saneth was one of the nicest guys in the Teleheath and Telecare world and will be badly missed.

This is a shock. Saneth was so passionate about the AT world and what it could achieve for people. He was innovative and last time we met for coffee he was describing another new idea. He was also keen to see development in his local area of Nottingham and the East Midlands. Very sad.

What a shock. I was most recently out with Saneth in Bangalore last year. I remember laughing a lot. He had a great sense of humour and a real passion for technology. I will certainly miss him being around the industry.

I have just heard this very sad news. Saneth worked for me at Abbott Diabetes Care after leaving University. He was one of the most enthusiastic people I’ve ever worked with, always willing to go the extra mile to help others. Always trying to expand his knowledge and understanding. Unfortunately I lost touch with him after he left ADC, and I’m so sad that I did. My thoughts go out to his family at this time, they can take strength from the positive way that San touched so many peoples lives – he could always make people smile.
